Does every MB-78EI door automatically meet EI60?
No. EI30 or EI60 applies to a specific approved construction with defined dimensions, glazing, hardware and installation conditions. It must be specified for the project.
Does EI classification itself confirm smoke tightness?
EI describes integrity and insulation during a fire. Smoke-control and escape-route requirements must be assessed separately using project requirements and the selected construction's documentation.
