Questions when choosing windows
Which windows provide the best thermal insulation?
It depends on the profile, glazing, dimensions and installation. Compare whole-window Uw values and configurations for windows of equal dimensions; a lower Uw value means less heat loss through the window.
Can window prices be compared by square metre alone?
Area alone is not enough. Fixed and opening windows of equal size can cost different amounts. Glazing, finish, hardware and work required also affect the price. A useful comparison needs equivalent, clearly specified configurations.
Is installation included in a window quotation?
We discuss installation and any other work before preparing the quotation. Include your site location, whether old windows need replacing and the finishing required, so the quotation can specify the scope of work.
